On Friday 8th April, I sampled one of Paragons best kept secrets; the Paragon Club Nights, organised by 'Mr Party' himself, Quickblade. The Paragon Club Nights or P.C.Ns first came to my attetion when I noticed an advertisment in the Paragon Times in the middle of the week. Then with a speed that many of our faster heroes would have been proud of, I managed to contact the elusive Quickblade and arranged to meet him prior to the party. So I got on my dancing shoes and my tightest jeans and head off to the studio. The P.C.Ns are held fortnightly at the Paragon Dance Studio, which is situated in the N.W corner of Steel Canyon, near to Silver Lake and nearby to the I.C.O.N shop, another place frequented by our heroes.

The dance studio has an unassuming exterior, which belies the rather surprising interior. As you enter it for the first time, you are half expecting to find either Skulls or Hellions up to no good, for the studio is a converted warehouse, installed with the latest in stropbing lights and laser effects. As Steel Canyon can be a tricky area to navigate, Quickblade has organised a teleporting system which brings guests to the very door of the studio. This service usually commences from 7.15pm onwards, with the party itself kicking off at 7.30pm . On Friday night Quickblade was still teleporting people to the party at 8pm!
I managed to catch up with Quickblade whilst he was teleporting people in (see We are Legion). When I caught up with him later on, he told me that at one point in the evening there were more people at the party than was actually patroling Steel Canyon. For any one who has not yet sampled this event, you can be reassured that any problems related to drugs ie Superdyne, is treated straight away. Quickblade could only remember two instances of drug related problems out of four parties.
I managed to talk with many of the participants, many of whom said that this was their first time. It was good to see so many different heroes of varying secruity levels all mixing together and having a good time. The one thing that most people were unhappy with was the sameness of the music, which, if you were into techno, would have suited you very well.

The next Paragon Club Night will be on Friday 22nd April starting at 7.30pm
