| After Hero BD had whirled away, I managed
to have a few words with a battered and dispondent MB-2. 'Wi diz iverwan think they caun reprogram me?', MB-2 fumed. I asked whether other electronic beings were being harrased to which MB-2 answered in the affirmative. MB-2 then related that alot of the harrasment was down to Heroes wanting to control bots, 'People thinkin that they caun reprogramme me tae dae whit they wants me tae dae...Ah've nae access ports, nae buttons. Nane! Nae way o' gettin tae mah wirin'. Nae way o' accessin' my circuits.'. |
At this point another insenitive hero
arrived, hero SW and the debate really got going. Hero SW
declared that the reason he feared bots was that they,
'might take over the world and that they were
mechanical.' . In this part of the debate, MB-2 switched over to his secondary accent program, this being an University lecturer and proceeded to demostrate to hero SW that other than his physical makeup, both hero SW and himself where in fact the same regarding how both the human and robot body dealt with the same data in the same way. Hero SW then revealed that it was his fear of techonlogly that he was projecting on to MB-2 and his colleagues.return |

prepared to say that he had been, in the past, abused by
heroes? 'Aye! Ah dae say that!It's abuse, ken. Ah'm

I then enquired whether MB-2 and his colleagues Critical Error and Electromagnet felt that they were regarded as an underclass among the heroic comunity of Galaxy City. In answer to this they told of horror stories of them being placed in the front of teams to draw the fire of villians etc on missions because ' . . . they were just bots. . .' . Mb-2 then put forward that alot of the predudice he had expieranced was do to his physical makeup,'They dinnae like us cuz we're no organic!'. |
